Each location has its own light, crowd pattern and best timing. Here's what actually works — based on years of shooting these spots every week.
The most iconic vantage point in Paris. Soft golden light frames the tower perfectly at sunrise. Avoid after 9 AM — crowds make it unusable.
The most cinematic bridge in Paris. Art Deco columns naturally frame the Eiffel Tower. Also works in the rain — dramatic shelter shots under the arches.
32 bronze candelabras, golden statues, grand Parisian sweep. Under the bridge on the Seine quays, you can shoot crowd-free at any time of day.
Cobblestone streets, café terraces, the Sacré-Cœur staircase — a romantic village feel within Paris. Best for late afternoon natural light.
The glass pyramid, the Arc du Carrousel, the tree-lined alleys of the Tuileries. Allow 1–2 hours for this area alone. Sunset from Pont Royal is unmissable.
Covered arcades, the Buren columns, symmetrical gardens — the most photogenic indoor-outdoor location in Paris. Works beautifully in any weather.

Choose solid colours that complement the Paris backdrop — navy, ivory, soft beige, sage green or dusty pink photograph beautifully against Haussmann stone and iron. Avoid busy prints or neon colours that compete with the architecture. Bring a second outfit if you'd like different moods between locations. Comfortable shoes are essential — you'll walk 1–3 km across cobblestones.
Sunrise (6–9 AM) is the gold standard — soft light, zero crowds at Trocadéro, Bir-Hakeim and Louvre. Requires an early start but always worth it. Sunset (6–8 PM in summer) is ideal for Pont Alexandre III and the Seine quays — warm golden tones. Midday is workable at covered spots (Palais Royal, Louvre arcades) and north-facing locations.
Paris in the rain produces some of its most beautiful reflections. Wet cobblestones, mirrored puddles, dramatic skies — my top rainy day spots are Palais Royal (covered arcades, always photogenic), Bir-Hakeim (dramatic under-bridge shots with Eiffel Tower), and the Louvre courtyards. Bring a stylish umbrella and a change of shoes.
I give natural, simple directions throughout the session — walk towards me, hold hands and look at each other, share a quiet moment looking at the view. Couples who feel self-conscious at first always relax within 10 minutes. Read my guide on natural posing for couples for more tips.
The classic 3-hour circuit — Bir-Hakeim → Trocadéro → Pont Alexandre III — covers the best Eiffel Tower spots and is fully walkable using Metro line 6 and bus 72. Add the Louvre or Montmartre for a half-day session. I plan the full itinerary once your booking is confirmed, based on weather and sunrise/sunset times for your exact date.
I have been shooting couples, proposals and weddings at Paris's most iconic locations for over 10 years. Based in Saint-Cloud, I work every week at Trocadéro, Bir-Hakeim, Montmartre, the Louvre and Pont Alexandre III — I know when the light hits, when the crowds arrive, and how to position you for the best frame.
I work daily with international clients from the US, UK, Australia and worldwide. All communication, contracts and posing direction are in English. No language barrier, no awkwardness.
My approach is documentary-meets-portrait: I capture real moments, genuine laughter, the quiet look between two people. You won't feel like you're in a photoshoot — and that's exactly the point.

The best photo spots in Paris include:
Choose solid and neutral colours such as navy, ivory, beige, sage green or dusty rose.
Avoid busy prints, logos or neon colours which distract from the Paris background.
Comfortable shoes are important because many streets are cobblestone.
For couples, coordinate colours without matching exactly — complementary tones photograph best.
Sunrise (6–9 AM) offers the softest light and almost no crowds.
Sunset produces warm golden light along the Seine and at Pont Alexandre III.
Midday works well in covered locations such as Palais Royal or the Louvre arcades.
Rain in Paris often creates beautiful reflections and dramatic skies.
I adapt the locations to covered or architectural spots such as Palais Royal, the Louvre courtyards or under Bir-Hakeim Bridge.
A stylish umbrella can even become a beautiful photo prop.
